Not too long ago in one of those stump the Christian moments, someone asked me how Noah found penquins in Palestine. I pointed out that penquins aren’t strictly Arctic as you might suppose; for example, I told him, today there are penquins living on the beaches of South Africa.

Last month I had a similar discussion with Cliff Paiva, Frank Sherwin of ICR and Major Joseph F.R., currently in Iraq (stay safe!) concerning the possible water canopy above the earth pre-flood and possible sources for all that water re the Genesis flood (another stump the Christian favorite). The Major and I were kicking around some ideas related to a pre-flood canopy as a potential source of the quantity of water needed to cover the earth to a depth of more than 20 feet over the highest mountains.

Cliff Paiva as usual succinctly put the entire issue in perspective;

Since 330 million cubic miles of ocean covers nearly 75% of this planet…I often wonder why folks keep asking “…where has all the water gone…long time passing…where has all the water gone….a long, long time ago….?”.

Seriously, its time folks use common sense when talking about a planet which is today nearly 75% under water, and whose crust is completely fractured, with millions of hydrothermal vents pouring out yet even more water!

One of the reasons that this conversation came to mind is that last week NASA crashed a rocket into the moon in search of water. One of the reasons secular science is so desperate to find water on the moon, on mars or wherever it can in the universe is because as far as we know, liquid water does not exist anywhere else but here on earth.

The abundance of water here is neccessary for life and its presence is another brick in the Anthropic Priniciple wall–the scientific evidence that this planet, this solar system and this universe were specifically created for life. Secular, materialist science would like to prove that water here on this planet is not such a great anomaly.

Scientists readily admit that they don’t know where the water came from and there are several competing naturalistic explanations. (Christians know that the source of water on earth is God as explained beginning in the second verse of Genesis 1.) What is the number one accepted theory as to the origin of all the water here on earth?

Well, what is the dumbest idea that you can think of? Nope, its dumber than that!

The current leading theory is that the water on earth came primarily from the collision of “water rich” asteroids from the outer asteroid belt with the earth. Naturalistic explanations for the origin of water on this planet-are all wet.

“An evolutionist friend of mine once told me that the best evidence for the [creation model] he knew was that any land existed at all on the earth. If our planet had spun down from a gas cloud, he said, the outer layers would consist of basaltic ocean crust, covered by a concentric layer of granite, the whole thing covered by over two miles (3 km) of water! He said it looked as if “someone with big hands” (the closest he could come to saying “God”) took the granite and shoved it up into a pile to form the dry land. Then he added that the “guy with big hands” was also smart enough to thin the basalt under the granite piles to maintain the earth in gravitational balance (isostasy) so it wouldn’t fracture as it rotated.” Creation: Facts of Life (2006) Master Books, p. 224

* This phrase was popularized by a television commercial campaign for Palmolive dish washing detergent. Madge, a manicurist, would comment on the dry, rough appearance of her client’s skin as she worked on one hand while the other soaked in a bowl of light green liquid. The client would ask her advice; Madge would recommend Palmolive; the client would act surprised (after all, how could a dish washing detergent affect one’s skin? Preposterous.). Then Madge would inform the client about the liquid in the bowl: “Relax, “you’re soaking in it,” she’d say, in a very matter-of-fact tone. The shocked client would immediately remove her hand from the bowl, and Madge would guide it back down, assuring her that everything was fine: “Palmolive softens hands as you do dishes.”

The ad campaign was created by the Ted Bates Ad Agency in 1966 and ran into the early ’90s.

Modern usage of the phrase occurs in situations similar to the well-intentioned ruse pulled off by Madge: someone is not aware of a situation or state, comments about it, and is told, “You’re soaking in it.” Example: a newbie might show up in the Chatterbox and ask, “hey, where’s this chatterbox thing I’ve heard about?” Answer: “you’re soaking in it.”…Everything2.com

“Prehistoric Man” Used Crude “Sat Nav”

Prehistoric man navigated his way across England using a crude version of sat nav based on stone circle markers, historians have claimed.

They were able to travel between settlements with pinpoint accuracy thanks to a complex network of hilltop monuments.

These covered much of southern England and Wales and included now famous landmarks such as Stonehenge and The Mount.

New research suggests that they were built on a connecting grid of isosceles triangles that ‘point’ to the next site. Many are 100 miles or more away, but GPS co-ordinates show all are accurate to within 100 metres. This provided a simple way for ancient Britons to navigate successfully from A to B without the need for maps.

According to historian and writer Tom Brooks, the findings show that Britain’s Stone Age ancestors were ‘’sophisticated engineers” and far from a barbaric race.

Mr Brooks, from Honiton, Devon, studied all known prehistoric sites as part of his research.

He said: ”To create these triangles with such accuracy would have required a complex understanding of geometry.

”The sides of some of the triangles are over 100 miles across on each side and yet the distances are accurate to within 100 metres. You cannot do that by chance.

”So advanced, sophisticated and accurate is the geometrical surveying now discovered, that we must review fundamentally the perception of our Stone Age forebears as primitive, or conclude that they received some form of external guidance.

”Is sat-nav as recent as we believe; did they discover it first?”

Mr Brooks analysed 1,500 sites stretching from Norfolk to north Wales. These included standing stones, hilltop forts, stone circles and hill camps.

Each was built within eyeshot of the next.

Using GPS co-ordinates, he plotted a course between the monuments and noted their positions to each other.

He found that they all lie on a vast geometric grid made up of isosceles ‘triangles’. Each triangle has two sides of the same length and ‘point’ to the next settlement.

Thus, anyone standing on the site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire could have navigated their way to Lanyon Quoit in Cornwall without a map.

Mr Brooks believes many of the Stone Age sites were created 5,000 years ago by an expanding population recovering from the trauma of the Ice Age. (Or the flood? s8int.com)

Lower ground and valleys would have been reduced to bog and marshes, and people would have naturally sought higher ground to settle.

He said: ”After the Ice Age, the territory would have been pretty daunting for everyone. There was an expanding population and people were beginning to explore.

”They would have sought sanctuary on high ground and these positions would also have given clear vantage points across the land with clear visibility untarnished by pollution.

”The triangle navigation system may have been used for trading routes among the expanding population and also been used by workers to create social paths back to their families while they were working on these new sites.”

Mr Brooks now hopes his findings will inspire further research into the navigation methods of ancient Britons.

He said: ”Created more than 2,000 years before the Greeks were supposed to have discovered such geometry, it remains one of the world’s biggest civil engineering projects. ”It was a breathtaking and complex undertaking by a people of profound industry and vision. We must revise our thinking of what’s gone before.”

The Fossil Giants of Castelnau

Mr. M. G. de Lapouge had several problems that he needed to try to solve simultaneously back in 1890. Number one, he was a prominent scientist of his time, with a good reputation so why should he be publishing an article in a scientific journal concerning human giants–and of a “type”* evolutionists considered modern?

*Here at s8int.com, we believe that there is only and has only been one “type” of human being. Science has called Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon “prehistoric” and other humans modern.

Secondly, who were these giants who were modern in “type” but enormous when the two groups considered ancestral; Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal were reasonably of the same size of modern humans? Mr. de Lapouge had found evidence in a vast graveyard near Castelnau, France, in the form of fossil bones of a teenager at least seven foot tall and of another enormous man who was close to 12 feet tall.

Writing in La Nature: revue des sciences et de leurs applications aux arts …, Volume 18, in 1890, under the title “The Fossil Giants of Castelnau”, de Lapouge took a calculated risk in presenting his findings to a skeptical scientific audience, which he acknowledges.

De Lapouge noted that no one would contest the fact that giant (mega) animals had existed in the past, quite apart from dinosaurs. Wouldn’t it seem reasonable, he wrote that at the time of the existence of these giant animals that man retained the same ratio of size to those creatures that he exhibits today?

Good question. The answer to his conundrum: “there were giants in the earth in those days..”..(Gen 6) and Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal were not “ancestors”-they lived in contemporary times.

Perhaps there was a time, pre-flood when every creature was large compared to today and that after the flood some of these giants still remained? ….s8int.com

“Giants figure so often in our legends and the most ancient histories of the world that it has been a serious question whether a race of gigantic men has not existed at some remote period of time—for example, during the quaternary epochs of the large mammals, the mastodon, mammoth, and so on—and whether the type may not have survived into later times.

Pigmies would have a better chance of continuing to subsist under the supremacy of the normal man. The giants, like the greater quadrupeds, would be exterminated. Our oldest human fossils, however, such as the Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon skulls, do not indicate an extraordinary stature.

Very tall skeletons have, no doubt, been found in some dolmens and barrows, but they are supposed to belong to the Bronze Age race, which is still an element of the European population. M. G. de Lapouge has recently made a discovery which tends to re-open this question.

At the prehistoric cemetery of Castelnau, near Montpellier, which dates from the eras of polished stone and bronze, he found last winter, among many crania, one of enormous size, which could only belong to a man very much over 2 meters (6 ft. 6 in.) in height, and of a morphologic type common in the dolmens of Lozère.

It was the skull of a healthy youth about 18 years of age.

Moreover, in the earth of a tumulus of vast extent, containing cists of the Bronze Age, more or less injured by superposed sepulchers of the early Iron Age, he found some fragments of incontestably human bones of enormous size. For instance, part of a tibia 0.16 meter in circumference, part of a femur 0.13 meter in girth, and the inferior part of a humerus twice the ordinary dimensions.

Everything considered M. de Lapouge estimates that the height of this subject must have been about 3½ meters (11.5 ft.)—that is to say, a veritable giant, according to the popular notion.

He must have lived during the quaternary period or the beginning of the present, but whether he was an instance of hypertrophy or one of an extinct race of giants, it is impossible as yet to say. Singularly enough, tradition fixes the valley of a giant very near the spot in the cavern of Castelnau where the bones have been taken from the tumulus.”

The Religious Devotion to the Dogma

I love this; an eminent scientist of the time, M. Keiner, a professor of pathology at Montpeiller University, had an opportunity to examine the bones in question. He reluctantly it seems agreed that the bones were human, and that they were “twice the ordinary size”.

However, since he ascribed the size of the bones to an “abnormailty”, he was able to claim that the question as to whether there had indeed been “giants in those days” –to be “unsettled”!

Oh, science, if a twelve foot human skeleton is not evidence that giants existed, what then would be required for proof?…s8int.com

A Race of Giants in Old Gaul

In the year 1890 some bones of enormous size, double the ordinary in fact, were found in the tumulus of Castelnau, (Herault) and have since been carefully examined by Prof. Keiner, who while admitting that the bones are those of a very tall race, nevertheless finds them abnormal in dimensions and apparently of morbid growth.

They undoubtedly reopen the question of the “giants” of antiquity, but do not furnish sufficient evidence to decide it.

The Evolving, Non-Evolving, Evolution Problem

Did you follow that title?

Item; there’s an interesting thing about ants, bees, spiders and other insects caught in amber supposedly millions of years ago, discovered, collected and studied today.

The problem is; they are ants, bees, spiders and other insects! No matter how old the amber in which they’ve been trapped supposedly is; 50 million, 75 million, 150 million, they are obviously what they are and recognizably so. So; where’s the evolution?

Item; not too long ago, which we’ve mentioned here a few times, scientists marveled at how similar a fossil octopus was to current octopi, even though the fossil was allegedly 95 million years old. Where’s the evolution?

Item: a fossil lamprey, allegedly 360 million years old was so identical in every respect to “modern” lampreys that the scientists studying them could only claim that “perhaps they had gotten a little longer”, a very unscientific claim to make on the basis of one specimen. One has to ask; where is the evolution?

No evolution in 95 million years? No evolution in 360 million years? Of course, we’re just looking at the tip of the iceberg here; there are probaly a thousand other examples if not more. Recently, scientists came across a group of fossil squids which they claim are 150 million years old. These squid were so “fresh” that the scientists were able to extract ink and use it to draw a picture of the specimen. What caused this group of creatures to become fossilized, rather than to rot or be eaten?

How is something like “ink” preserved for 150 million years? Where is the evolution?

The answer is; no evolution and a young earth!

Palaeontologists have drawn with ink extracted from a preserved fossilised squid uncovered during a dig in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

The fossil, thought to be 150 million years old, was found when a rock was cracked open, revealing the one-inch-long black ink sac.

A picture of the creature and its Latin name was drawn using its ink.

Dr Phil Wilby of the British Geological Survey said it was an ancient creature similar to the modern-day squid.

“The structure is similar to ink from a modern squid so we can write with it,” he said.

‘Medusa effect’

The find was made at a site which was first excavated in Victorian times where thousands of Jurassic fossils with preserved soft tissues were found.

Dr Wilby, who led the excavation, said: “We think that these creatures were swimming around during the Jurassic period and were turned to stone soon after death. It’s called the Medusa effect.”

Experts believe one possibility is that thousands of the creatures congregated in the area to mate before being poisoned by algae in the water.

Remains of a different species of squid have also been found, suggesting the carcasses attracted predators to feed on them and they in turn also died.

Dr Wilby said: “They can be dissected as if they are living animals, you can see the muscle fibres and cells.

“It is difficult to imagine how you can have something as soft and sloppy as an ink sac fossilised in three dimension, still black, and inside a rock that is 150 million years old.”

The specimen is now in the British Geological Survey collection in Nottingham.

Part of the ink sac has been sent to Yale University in America for more in-depth chemical analysis.

I’ve learned from bitter experience that the question; “are you really as stupid as you look?” is best not answered with a simple yes or no. Along with yes or no, some explanatory oratory is probably best. On the other hand, a Christian should be expected to answer the question as to his/her belief that man and dinosaur lived together within the last 10,000 years with a simple and definitive, “yes!”

Even though the majority of Americans (for instance) believe that God was involved in creation and reject evolution to a greater or lesser extent, the idea that man and dinosaur lived together is more and more considered to be a foolish and backward. An idea suitable only to be laughed at.

Governor Palin, was no doubt more than a little naive when she suggested that non-existent over flights by Putin (and his ugly head) over Alaska constituted foreign policy experience but she was correct about the dinosaurs. Nonetheless, many media sources were derisive in reporting that she believed man and dinosaur interacted; as if everyone reading their stories would share their point of view.

Sadly, many Christians would have trouble answering the dinosaur and man question with a simple yes. For many, there would need to be some “hem and hawing” and for some, there would be a quick and maybe even emphatic denial.

The truth is, however there is overwhelming evidence that man and dinosaur did exist together. Ancient cultures left voluminous evidence in the form of art, and literature for example, that they interacted with creatures that we now call dinosaurs. That evidence is largely ignored, suppressed, hidden or misunderstood. However, everyone is aware that ancient cultures shared an experience with creatures they called “dragons” that it is clear, they regarded as real creatures.

These dragons were in virtually every respect; when taken together with pterosaurs, exactly like dinosaurs that science claims became extinct millions of years before man evolved. Why don’t evolutionists have to spend every waking moment trying to convince us that there is no connection between the dragons of antiquity with dinosaurs? Because despite the almost organic resistance society has to evolution, we have nevertheless accepted the notion that the universe is billions of years old.

Materialism and its associated religious doctrines are crumbling under the weight of true science however. It is evolutionists and materialists that should be feeling defensive about their beliefs. Francis Collins, who headed the successful human genome project is now a “believer” who was recently selected by President Obama to head the National Institute of Health said the following about DNA; (paraphrased) “if everyone on earth started reading a portion of the information contained in a single cell of DNA it would take 31 years to read it all”.

That is the amount of information in a single cell and each of us has trillions of such cells in our body. Who put this coded information in the cells of everything living? By the way, Atheists and liberals are opposing Collins because he believes God coded this information into the cells of living things.

As for the universe itself, it has become so clearly created for life that physicists are seriously proposing and Alice in Wonderland notion, known as string theory, that postulates an infinite number of invisible and undetectable universes and hypothesizes further that we just happen to live in the one tailored for life. Why not propose that the universe is carried upon the back of a giant tortoise—or has that already been suggested?

As for the big bang, up to 96% of the universe is described as being made up of “dark” matter and energy. They are like those invisible and undetectable universes of string theory and they must be assumed to exist or else the whole big bang theory would collapse. Those who believe and preach these science doctrines are the ones who are deriding Governor Palin and “fundamentalists” for believing what the Bible teaches.

As we shall see, there is evidence out there in the world beyond Sarah Palin’s back porch to suggest that she does read and that man and dinosaur did co-exist.

Dragons Liar

When paleontologist Mary Schweitzer claimed to have found collagen protein and connective tissue in the thigh bone of a t-rex in 2007 and in a fossilized duck-billed dinosaur in 2009 she received a lot of grief and resistance from the scientific community. This is because; no one could accept that protein could still be obtained from a creature that allegedly died more than 65 million years ago.

Imagine if you will, trying to run for public office only to have the media discover that you harbored such ridiculous beliefs. That would be really stup….Wait; one second….I’m being told that there are plenty of people out there willing to believe it. Let’s move on.

The sauropod dinosaur is iconic. It was the largest land creature ever and has a very long neck, a long tail and a somewhat bulky quadruped body in the middle. Because it is iconic, it can be represented in detail or with a few simple lines. It is easy to recognize.

If man and dinosaur co-existed, it should be somewhere represented in the arts of man. They would have been too big to ignore. As a matter of fact, a total absence of its description or depiction would be a serious problem for creationists. As it turns out however, that problem doesn’t exist.

Just as the internet disposed of the notion that Egyptians looked like Charleston Heston or Edward G. Robinson (N.Y. accent: where’s your God nahowwww, Moses, huhhhhh?), it will give people a chance to see and to investigate for themselves some of the evidence of man and dinosaur co-existence scattered about in museums and art galleries around the world.

The idea that such evidence doesn’t exist because man and dinosaur never saw each other is frankly, a lie. All evidence to the contrary is suppressed, labeled as hoaxes, as fakes or simply ignored. The question is, how and why did ancient man conceive of mythological creatures almost exactly like dinosaurs…large, reptilian quadrupeds. When it comes to sauropods specifically, how to explain long necked, long tailed quadrupeds of the iconic sauropod shape among cultures that supposedly missed the creatures by 45 million years or so?

What if there are features of ancient, iconic sauropod depictions which have only recently been discovered by modern science? How will science explain that? I’m guessing something invisible and undetectable ;0).

Oldest Animal Fossils Found in Lakes, Not Oceans

What if; there were only lakes and seas before the flood? What if there were no “salt water” creatures prior to the flood? What if the oceans are the result of residual waters left over from the ‘fountains of the deep” bursting open and thus, are actually younger than some lakes?

Oldest Animal Fossils Found in Lakes, Not Oceans

Conventional wisdom has it that the first animals evolved in the ocean.

Now researchers studying ancient rock samples in South China have found that the first animal fossils are preserved in ancient lake deposits, not in marine sediments as commonly assumed.

These new findings not only raise questions as to where the earliest animals were living, but what factors drove animals to evolve in the first place.

For some 3 billion years, single-celled life forms such as bacteria dominated the planet. Then, roughly 600 million years ago, the first multi-cellular animals appeared on the scene, diversifying rapidly.

The oldest known animal fossils in the world are preserved in South China’s Doushantuo Formation. These fossil beds have no adult specimens — instead, many of the fossils appear to be microscopic embryos.

“Our first unusual finding in this region was the abundance of a clay mineral called smectite,” said researcher Tom Bristow, now at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. “In rocks of this age, smectite is normally transformed into other types of clay. The smectite in these South China rocks, however, underwent no such transformation and have a special chemistry that, for the smectite to form, requires specific conditions in the water — conditions commonly found in salty, alkaline lakes.”

The researchers collected hundreds of rock samples from several locations in South China. All their analyses suggest these rocks were not marine sediments.

“Moreover, we found smectite in only some locations in South China, and not uniformly as one would expect for marine deposits,” Bristow said. “Taken together, several lines of evidence indicated to us that these early animals lived in a lake environment.”

This discovery raises questions as to how and why animals appeared when they did.

“It is most unexpected that these first fossils do not come from marine sediments,” said researcher Martin Kennedy, a geologist at the University of California at Riverside.

“Lakes are typically short-lived features on the Earth’s surface, and they are not nearly as consistent environments as oceans are,” he explained. “So it’s surprising that the first evidence of animals we find is associated with lakes, which are far more variable environments than the ocean. You’d expect the first appearance of animals to be in the most conservative, stable environments we could imagine.”

It remains possible, Kennedy noted, that animal fossils of similar or older age exist that remain to be found that are marine in origin. However, at the very least, this work suggests “that animals had already taken on the ability to deal with the environmental fluctuations one sees in lake environments,” he said. “That suggests that their evolutionary response is much more rapid that I would have supposed, and that the earliest animals were far more diverse than imagined.”

If animals did first develop in lakes, one aspect of lake environments that could have spurred on their evolution is how much easier it is for air to percolate through them, given how much shallower they typically are than the ocean.

“The most popular explanation for the evolution of animals has to do with the increase in oxygen in Earth’s atmosphere at that time,” Kennedy told LiveScience. “It’s possible that lakes were the first to benefit from that increase in oxygen.”

The scientists detailed their findings online July 27 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

If what science tells us about man and dinosaur is correct, and they missed each other by millions of years, how and why did ancient man create images of the easily recognizable sauropod dinosaur, (among others,) often complete with the correct sauropod anatomical features and body shape, the correct skull/head shape and even a correct depiction of sauropod skin – which has only recently been discovered?

An ancient Chinese sauropod depiction features a long necked sauropod-like “dragon” eating a flower. Sauropods were vegetarians, but how did the ancients know?

A recent find, a Turkish ewer has a spout that is the spitting image of a brachiosaurs. Putting our little sauropod collection together in this little booklet, we believe helps us see how prevalent these depictions were in ancient art.

Our friend Clifford Paiva of BSM Research Associates recently appeared (2009) on an episode of Monster Quest; Flying Monsters.

Mr. Paiva appeared on camera to discuss his analysis of unidentified lights thought by some to be evidence of chemiluminescence in giant flying creatures known as Ropens or pterosaurs.

Chemoluminescence is the emission of light with limited emission of heat (luminescence), as the result of a chemical reaction. Mr. Paiva analyzed film from several sightings featuring maneuvering lights from an unknown source.

According to his site where the results and explanations for the results of his analysis is posted:

“Image processing for this section is implemented by (Clifford Paiva); the hardware and software computer integration being provided by (his) son, Mr. Alexander M. Paiva specifically for The History Channel Monsterquest Flying Monsters program.

Hydrodynamics of lift forces, coefficients of lift as a function of pterosaur wing area, and overall dive velocity profiles were included in the follow-up technical report to be released August 2009.”

An isolated group of dinosaurs somehow survived the catastrophic event that wiped out most of their kind some 65.5 million years ago, a new study suggests.

Dinosaurs of this “lost world,” in a remote region of the U.S. West, may have outlived their doomed relatives by as much as half a million years, according to James Fassett, an emeritus scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Fassett, who has argued for years that some dinosaurs survived the mass extinction, based his latest work on fossils from the San Juan Basin in what is now Colorado and New Mexico.

There, the bones of hadrosaurs, tyrannosaurs, anklyosaurs, and several other species were found together in a sandstone formation that dates to the Paleocene epoch—the time period after the so-called Cretaceous-Tertiary (K-T) extinction event, which is thought to have killed off the dinosaurs.

As with his past research, Fassett’s latest find is likely to continue sparking controversy among paleontologists.

“Every few years someone claims to have [found] Paleocene ’surviving’ dinosaurs,” said Hans-Dieter Sues, associate director for research and collections at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History.

But so far, such fossils have eventually turned out to be older remains.

“Unequivocal Evidence”

In his new study, appearing in the April 2009 issue of the journal Palaeontologia Electronica, Fassett argues that a single hadrosaur fossil helps prove that the San Juan dinos really are from the Paleocene.

After previous “survivor” finds, it was determined that the dinosaurs in question, initially entombed in sand or mud, had their bones exposed again later by natural forces such as river erosion.

The bones were then redeposited in younger rock layers, making them appear to belong to an earlier era.

But paleontologists found a concentration of 34 bones from a single hadrosaur in the San Juan Basin sandstone.

“That’s unequivocal evidence I think,” Fassett said. River-washed bones would be widely scattered and also show signs of wear and tear—unlike the current fossils, some of which he describes as “pristine.”

I want to thank my friend Jorge Gasco of El Oraculo de Occidente,for sending me the link to and for giving me permission to publish a version of his article concerning the topics listed in the title. While we here at s8int.com are largely chair bound, Jorge and his friends made like Indiana Jones and conducted some exciting archaeological work on their own.

This story as the title suggests combines a little bit of giant humans along with dinosaurs and mysterious ancient civilizations. It’s mostly told in photographs.

On a number of occasions I’ve been asked about giant humans vis a vis evolution and the Bible. I’ve said that evolution really doesn’t deal with giant “modern” humans but occassionally someone will offer that evolutionists do accept for instance Gigantopithecus (known by giant teeth, some say human, some think great ape)–which we also cover on this site.

Gigantopithecus aside evolution does not adequately explain why sometime in the past, humans, dogs, cats, cows, horses and dinsosaurs were of gigantic size. Certainly not if uniformism is also assumed with respect to the history of the earth.

But Jorge’s article puts the question to the fore once again; when could men have left a shoeprint–in granite (or at least in rock) corresponding to a man of a height of 13 feet!? If they were bare footprints, one could argue that they were from a great ape, though none of them should have been around when this rock was formed–or one could have argued that they were smudged dinosaur prints.

But they are shoeprints, of gigantic size, mixed in with the prints of three-toed dinosaurs. Did 13 foot men live millions of years ago–possibly more than a billion years ago? These findings only make sense if some or all of the following are true; 1)granite takes much less time to form than science says it does–in thousands of years not millions; dinosaurs and men lived at the same time; that there were giants in those days–before the flood–only a few thousand years ago….s8int.com

Some years ago, in 2004 to be exact, I went for the first time to visit a well-known place within the Valencian archaeological tourist circuit. It is the route of an aqueduct through almost 30 kilometers which meanders through various localities: Tuejar, Chelva, Streets, Domeño and Losa of the Bishop, all in the region of the Highlands, in the Province of Valencia.

It is made up of aqueducts (typically high arched), drains, and galleries cut into the rock of the mountains. Traditionally its construction is attributed to the Romans, but there are no actual facts or evidence to substantiate such claims.

The ancient texts mentions only that the construction pre-dates 1797, –that from the pen of insigne Antonio Josef Cabanilles, in his work “Observations on Natural History, Geography, Agriculture, Population and Fruits of the Kingdom of Valencia”.

After studying and writing on the subject I knew that there were previous references than Cabanilles’ about seeing everything pertaining to the region of the Highlands, province of Valencia.

I’m not saying that the attribution of the construction of the works there to the Romans has no foundation in truth, just that there is nothing in the ancient texts to substantiate the claim.

One ancient source assumes the construction took place in the first century, a time of Roman domination but this attribution is also devoid of any actual evidence to support it, and thus it is mere speculation which follows the political line.

In the political line, it serves only to give all credit to the Romans, holding any notion that a prior civilization, higher in technology was responsible to be non-credible. It is as if in forgetting what we once were, we get rid once and for all of that cultural infection, tyrannical and alien of which the present system is built upon that frightens us.
