In 1978 Brad Steiger wrote a book entitled “Worlds Before Our Own” which advanced a theory about an ancient, global civilization, supported by his chronicling of hundreds of out of place artifacts.

His book may not have been the only one of its kind or the first but much of the interest which exists today in out of place artifacts—and ancient civilizations began there. It was certainly one of the inspirations for—albeit from a Christian perspective.

Mr. Steiger’s book was not well received by the powers that be—one angry reviewer actually called for it to be burned, because it made it clear that there was something very wrong with the theory of evolution or at least with its time scale. As it happens, Mr. Steiger is out with an updated version of his 1978 book which can be found Here

Just over 125 years prior to the publishing of Worlds Before Our Own, Wendell Phillips gave a lecture along very similar lines that was covered by the New York Times. Call it out of place artifacts-1852. He called it the “Lost Arts”.

Wendell Phillips was born on November 29, 1811, in Boston. He graduated from Harvard Law School, but gave up his life of status and wealth in order to join the anti-slavery movement.

Phillips recommended that the South should be expelled from the Union until slavery was abolished. After the Emancipation Proclamation, he worked to better the lives of the newly freed men and women.

After the war ended, Phillips worked for the women’s movement, civil rights, voter’s rights, temperance and Native American rights……. Perspectives in American Literature.

Africans, Not Europeans, First in the America?
New York Times, August 29, 1920
Africa and the Discovery of America. Volume I. by Professor Leo Wiener.Philadelphia: Innes and Sons.

Leo Wiener was a professor of Slavic languages at Harvard University and author of many books including the one referenced above. His son Norbert Wiener entered Tufts University at the age of 11 and is responsible for the field of cybernetics.

In this review of “Africa and the Discovery of America, Volume I”, published in the New York Times, in August 1920, the author states Wiener’s thesis as;

Negroes from the northwestern coast of Africa crossed the Atlantic and landed in America an indefinite number of years before Christopher Columbus’s voyage of discovery in 1492 is the arresting decla ration made by Leo Wiener, Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University, in his most recent work, the first volume of which has just been published….

New Poll of Public School Students: Teach Us Creation!

Yet another poll indicates that Americans believe creation should be included in US public school classrooms.

Channel One, a secular broadcast company that airs a daily program for public schools, asked students, ‘Which theory should be taught in your classroom?’ The choices were creation, evolution, or both. A majority of students (52 percent) said ‘both.’ Another 31 percent said ‘creation,’ and only 17 percent said ‘evolution.’

The poll was posted on as part of a January 8 story about Rodney LeVake, a Christian teacher who was forced out of his biology classroom in Minnesota simply because he taught evidence against evolution.

A nationwide poll reported in March 2000, for example, found that 79% of Americans believe that creation should be taught in some form in public schools….

Pterosaurs Alive? Not So Prehistoric?

Dave Woetzel is a Christian, creationist, cryptozoologist, researcher adventurer who is also a New Hampshire businessman in his spare time. We met him online a couple of years ago. Among other things, he runs a great website called Genesis Park is an entirely chairbound exercise but Dave gets out there in the real world and gets his hands dirty, having searched for the Mokele Mbembe in Africa and the ropen (a pterosaur) in Papua New Guinea.

Coincidentally, I was doing research on whether or not pterosaur eyewitnesses ever reported receiving burns and an article I found confirming that this was the case was on Dave’s site. ( Some relevant text is excerpted below). The very next morning I received an e-mail from him about an interesting internet find.

The real exciting news though is that Dave and his group have reportedly found a colony of live pterosaurs which are seen and tracked on a nightly basis. They are being hush, hush, about the location but we hear things. The plan is to actually attempt to capture one alive this summer using a net gun. Keep your eyes and ears peeled this summer. Evolutionists; get your excuses ready.

Here are three short pieces that serve to indicate, as so many in this section have that pterosaurs still exist. The first is a description from 1880, the second story is a convincing tale from south of the border in which the witness was so frightened that he…..The third is interesting because the writer assumes that what he was witnessing on the Solomon Islands was a UFO. It might have been a bioluminescent pterosaur sighting, especially when you consider that the locals called it the “dragon snake”.

Pyramids Packed with Fossil Shells..Implications?….., Science, The Flood of Noah, Unexplained Artifact | Posted by Chris Parker

Genesis 7

For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.

The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.

This article, refocuses attention on the fact that the entire world is covered by sediments borne by water. Specifically, this article spotlights the fact that many if not all of Egypts monuments contain thousands of intact, fossils of sea creatures. What are the implications? Certainly there might be some who think of the Genesis account of the great flood. On the other hand, if you thought that perhaps the pyramids were pre-flood, this might throw a monkey wrench into that theory.

What if you were inclined to accept the fact that the pyramid’s were cast concrete, how do these finding impact those speculations?

Before we take you to the actual article, we give a few snippets from other sources which we believe will help put the fossil nummulites in perspective. Did you know that the pyramids themselves contain quite a bit of limestone rock which in turn is made up largely of fossilized sea shells? Did you know that entire mountain ranges are made up of these same fossilized sea shells? ……
